<p>The Customer Advocate role is responsible for the on-going success of named Service Provider customers, as well as general account management. The candidate is proficient at administrative tasks related to managing datacenter resources, and also possesses excellent troubleshooting skills. A Systems Engineer must be able to manage and repair problems identified in escalated support cases, and prioritize and complete tasks under little supervision.</p>
<p>Duties and Responsibilities</p>
<ul>
<li>Do advanced troubleshooting of VoIP related issues in the configuration and operation of the datacenter and customer networks (including global internet routing), Asterisk systems, Linux servers and interconnections with various telecommunications partners, and the VoiceAxis software.</li>
<li>Quickly discover the essence of a problem reported through escalated customer support tickets and manage them to completion interacting with co-workers, customers and vendors as necessary and as proscribed by our service-agreements.</li>
<li>Provide support, troubleshooting and bug reports for VoiceAxis software, a LAMP based package created by CoreDial for managing our customer and partner services.</li>
<li>Assist in design and creation of software to improve our platform.</li>
<li>Participate in an escalated or urgent customer and technical support 24/7 on-call rotation.</li>

<p>Qualifications</p>
<ul>
<li>The ability to define your own work, make decisions based on projects you are managing and any available discretionary time.</li>
<li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, emerging growth environment.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills both verbal and written needed to interact with team and customers.</li>
<li>Excellent knowledge of IP networks and services, including experience using packet capture tools such as tcpdump to analyze issues.</li>
<li>Excellent troubleshooting skill.</li>
<li>Excellent knowledge of Linux, specifically we use RedHat based distributions.</li>
<li>Good knowledge of Cisco router configuration, LAN/VLAN concepts and configuration, Asterisk or VoIP (SIP/RTP) in general, basic computer programming concepts.</li>
<li>Must be comfortable with some level of programming or scripting.  In our work we interact frequently with Bash, Perl, PHP, Ruby, and Python both for tool creation and troubleshooting existing production services.</li>
<li>Any knowledge or experience with the following is a plus: OpenSIPs, Kamillio, OpenSER; IP phone provisioning Polycom, Aastra, Cisco, Linksys; programming in PHP, Bash, Perl or C.</li>

<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>

<li>Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings</li>
<li>Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility</li>
<li>Help further implement and adapt agile and scrum methodologies into the company</li>

<li>Investigate, analyze and make recommendations to management regarding technology improvements, upgrades and modifications</li>
<li>Develop software according to functional and technical design specifications and maintain a &#8220;common sense&#8221; approach that serves to recognize potential design gaps and provide insight into closing them.</li>
<li>Assist in continual improvement of software configuration management process.</li>
<li>Support the development team by assisting with organizing and updating the sprint backlog &#8221; Manage the team &#8211; Ensure that daily, sprint, release commitments are being upheld</li>
<li>Remove impediments &#8211; remove obstacles that are preventing the team from accomplishing its sprint goals.</li>
<li>Radiate information &#8211; ensure that the team&#8217;s progress and successes are highly visible to all stakeholders, including the team itself. These radiators may take the form of various Scrum artifacts, from backlogs to burndown charts.</li>
<li>Follow methodology &#8211; ensure that the team lives by the values and practices of Scrum. The Scrum Master protects the team by making sure they do not over-commit themselves to what they can achieve during a sprint.</li>

<p><strong>Skills</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A Bachelor&#8217;s Degree from a four-year university is required.</li>
<li>2-3 years experience as a Scrum Master preferred.</li>

<li>Working knowledge of Agile Development methodology required.</li>
<li>Technical Knowledge</li>
<li>Solid knowledge of web development technologies (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, HTML, AJAX, JavaScript)</li>
<li>Experience with configuration management and change control</li>
<li>Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle</li>
